a. The percent of households not associated with renting.

b. Assume that the pie chart is associated with 1,000 households. How many households would own a home?

Answer:

(a.)  Percent of households not associated with renting:

Own Home = 43%

Other = 10%

Total percent, not renting:

43% + 10% = 53% of household would not own a home.

(b.) Number of households that would own a home out of total 1,000 households:

Households, own home: 43%

0.43 × 1,000 = 430 households would own a home
